"So far this has been the best SUV I have ever owned, but not as troublefree as I expected a Lexus to be. Needs improvement in some interior details. For example, the
LCD screen tends to slow down in cold weather and is hard to read in direct sunlight. And there is only one map light in the front! This makes it hard on the driver when the front passenger wants to read. Sunroof is useless over 35
mph due to wind noise. But safety is great. I was involved in a car accident when I hit a car at approximately 10 mph and the bumper was completely undamaged while the other car
looked to be in bad shape...

Trouble free = no

As a first year model, my RX300 has performed
well but not without problems. There seemed
to be a problem with the acceleration in the
winter time when something seemed to be slowing
the car down. Suspect it had to do with the
4wd system, but the problem was never solved.
The rear bumper chips rather easily."

"Car is quiet on the highway, although starts to generate wind noise over 75. The sun roof does create a lot of noise. The sliding rear seats reduce storage behind, but create a spacious back seat. This is a big plus when carrying people and little cargo. The seat heaters are also a nice feature that I didn't think I would use--but reduce lower back discomfort on long drives. The stereo is quite good. The turning radius is larger than I would like, but the visibility, particularly in the front is very good, which makes it easier to park. It is too early to tell on durability, but the quality on delivery was very good. "
