"The Silverado is without a doubt the best driving most powerfull truck I test drove. The acceleration is remarkable for the trucks size. I've hauled well over a half tone in it wihtout a problem, infact you wouldn't have known the weight was there if you did see it in the bed. Again for its size the handling is great. It takes hard turns very well and recovers quickly on rough terrain. The truck is very spacious and the third doors opening is more than enough to get in and out of. The seats are comfortable but seem to grow less and less as you drive on long trips. I've experience several rattles driving in the city and on the highway and there is a whistle when the truck gets up to around 70 MPH, could just be the bugshield though. With the rear seat down there is minimal storage but not bad considering theres no trunk.

Repairs = I've had problems with rattles in the dashboard, bolts inside the drivers door have come loose and rattled, and the third door squeaks over rough bumps. The light in the engine compartment has already been replaced due to a sticking switch. The rear end has been worked on due to a clanking noise. The body molding around drivers window has warped and had to be replaced. And last but not least the truck has stalled once coming off the highway for no explainable reason and the transmission shifts very hard at times even for a 4X4. However I would have to say that removing these minor problems and taking into account this is a first model year I would but one again. So far the dealership has been very helpfull and fixed everything without a problem."
