How to play
Blackjack: Welcome! Blackjack, another very familiar game among most gamblers, is played almost everywhere in the U.S. Blackjack is becoming more popular every year and is one to master when entering a casino. Objective Blackjack, also like majority of casino games, is very simple when it comes down to game play. The objective is to accumulate cards from the dealer until 21 is reached without going over. Basic Requirements The basic requirements are simple. All you need to play blackjack are: - 52 deck of cards - 1 to 7 players - a bankroll (Casinos or players) Rules The rules for Blackjack are quite understandable when playing and betting. First off the value of the cards stand as: Face cards such as Jacks , Queens, and Kings are all worth 10 points. Ace are a little different and are either worth 1 or 11. All other cards are what their faces represent. Also there are several different choices a player can make after receiving their cards- -Hit or Draw: To take one to as many cards it takes to get to 21. -Stand: To stop takings hits or cards. -Double Down: Double the initial amount (Usually decided by position of player) -Split pairs: If two of the cards are equal value they may be, by choice, played in another hand. On the other hand the dealers hand has limited choices. In short terms the dealer must obtain cards that equal 17 and up to 21, and nothing less than 16. This sometimes may very in certain casinos. Also players may signal their moves by certain motions. -Hit: a player taps the table next to his cards with their finger tips. -Stand: a hand motion left to right over your cards with your palm down, almost as if you are waving down. -Split: to place a bet that's equal to your initial bet ,next to your initial bet, and remember it is custom that the dealer splits your cards. -Double Down- placing another bet equal to your original bet, and also the dealer will deal you one more card across your cards. (Hint, Hint, this means you should be a risk taker, or in a good position with your cards to perform a double down.) Also the dealer has the upper hand in the situation, known as the house advantage. The dealer always receives their cards last to examine the position the players are in. Lastly of the basic rules, when the player or dealer goes over 21, it is known as a "Bust". When this situation occurs, the wagers are immediately given to the winner of the game. Betting Betting is somewhat easy and a bit complicated. As mentioned above their is the initial bet at the beginning of the game, and then a split and after that a double down can occur as the last of the wagering part of the game. Information above can explain what these positions mean above. Also, when playing blackjack, when every two chips that are bet and the player wins, there is a 3 : 2 payout. You basically gain one chip. Also there are many different probabilities that can occur during a game. A player can learn of these probabilities through many well written books by professionals who have experienced, studied, and dealt with the occasions before.
