Pittsburgh, PA  Audi A6 1999 2.8 V6

Audi makes beautiful vehicles which look and drive solidly. PA agrees and indictes his Audi A6 is the best car he has ever owned. He gives the vehicle excellent marks in nearly every category, except for power. PA's Audi just does not have enough get-up-and-go for basic acceleration, passing and hill climbing. Audi's 2.8 liter has not been known for its neck snapping acceleration and PA agrees, although that is not enough to discourage him. PA is clearly pleased with the Audi's comfort. He notes that the vehicle is wearing very well. Audi's old days of questionable dependability have seemed to be history but there have been some problems with PA's Audi. He notes that the fuel guage had to be replaced under warranty. PA has also asked his dealer service department about "squeaky brakes." The service department apparently says this is normal. Overall, a very strong review for a reasonably priced vehicle from Germany.

Woodland Hills, CA  Audi A6 1998 2.8 V6

TK has a premium European sedan. This is his second Audi and he notd that he had good luck with his first which was "still tight and rattle free at 137,000 miles." He thinks this A6 seems just as tight. TK is pleased with other qualities noting "fit and finish are super." "The paint is beautiful and feels nice to the touch when washing." The Audi also rides smoothly and interior quality and comfortable interior. His Audi is spacious as he notes its truck is large. The only apparent drawback is the powerplant. TK could use more power. Acceleration is adequate but he could use the extra horsepower now available in 2000 A6s.

"My second Audi A6 (I reviewed one of the 1999 A6's). This car addresses every single complaint I had about the previous A6s. The Xenon's light up the road extremely well. The 2.7T engine accelerates powerfully. The 2.7T model's high performance brakes make the car stop on a dime (and the brake do not squeel.)
