Most would agree Audi's new TTL Coupe is gorgeous. According to TX the ride, handling and performance of the TTL match its looks. The car received exceptional marks in almost every category. TX is pleased with the TTL's fit and finish which is important in a car in this class. TX says the Audi's quality is superior to its competitors such as the Porsche Boxster. The TTL is fast receiving top marks in acceleration and passing. The vehicle has Audi's 1.8T which moves this vehicle well. However, TX mentions the upcoming 225hp Quattro apparently realizing that the present product can be improved. TX is in the 21 to 30 age bracket so he does not mind the "millions of looks" he gets spinning around in his new coupe. Would anyone mind? TX is 6'1" and has no problem getting in and out of the TTL. There are of course some problems as Audi has replaced the transmission because of a bad synchro. TX has also had an electrical problem with the instrument cluster. TX recommendation that he would buy this car again shows he is willing to put up with a few problems to drive this masterpiece. Overall Rating:

Owner's comments: The styling is outstanding, and still has people rolling down their windows to ask questions about the car. The 180hp engine is insufficient for the weight of the Quattro-equipped car. (The car's street start, 8.7 seconds from 5-60mph, says it all -- Saturn SL2s and Toyota Corollas easily pull away from it in second gear). If you insist on Quattro, head straight for the 225hp engine. I also don't feel that the Bose stereo is worth the $1200 price premium. The sound quality could easily be surpassed with a $300 aftermarket system. Troublefree = This is not a car for those who expect trouble-free motoring, IMHO. The car has been for eight service stops in six months (only two of which were regularly scheduled) due to a variety of electrical problems. To date, the following have been repaired or replaced: Cruise control switch (non functional at delivery) Instrument cluster Oil pressure sensor Engine coolant temperature sensor Ignition switch Left rear taillight wiring harness (twice) Seat heater switches (both twice) Stereo amp (CD was picking up electrical noise) Fog lights (would not turn off) Contact Owner: marranca@aol.com Survey
