Houston, TX  BMW 540ia 1997, Blue 4.4L V8

BMW's 5-Series is a coveted automobile. The car is known for its smooth power and handling. The V8 in the 540ia gives this car exceptional acceleration. CJ of Houston has 20,000 miles on his 5-Series and he gives it excellent marks. CJ gave his car the best, or next to the best, marks in every category. Furthremore, he says his vehicle has been problem-free, which is encouraging given the high cost of repairs. CJ's BMW's strong points, categories in which it received the highest marks, are for handling, ergonomics, and ride. The car has exhibited exceptional wear so it is probably like new even though it has 20,00 miles. We were surprised that the BMW only got an "agrees" rating for braking, as BMW's brakes are known to be legendary. Perhaps, the heavier 5-Series just does not stop as well as the lighter 3-Series. Overall, an excellent rating for a fine machine.
