Montreal, Quebec  Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34 1999 3.8 Liter, 7,500 miles

This is Scott's second Monte Carlo. His first was a 1996 LS. His 1999 Monte Carlo is a Z34 3.8 liter. He thinks the Z34 has been a "better purchase." He finds the combination of power, handling, braking and comfort is very satisfying. His '99 has 7,500 and although a pleasure to drive has had a minor problem with the speedometer which was replaced under warranty. Scott does think the Monte Carlo is the best value in a V6 sedan in this price range. He rated the vehicle very well. The vehicle received top, or next to the top, in nearly every category except for interior wear. Based upon the ratings, the Monte Carlo really excels at highway handling, cornering, acceleration and ride. Although still ranked very well, the Monte Carlo is rated a notch below the best in ergonomic categories such as seats, air conditioning and interior noise.
