Hyundai is now known to make good, inexpensive cars. However, Hyundai suffers an image problem of making cars which were not very dependable. DR has had his Hyundai for 30,000 miles and has not had any problems. More modern Hyundais appear to have improved markedly over early versions. VA's Hyundai scores well in certain categoires, such has handling, ride and transmition. Fit and finish, and wear and tear also rate well. The car still rates well, although not quite as well, in categories of acceleration and comfort, such as air conditiong and seats. The only real negative mark was for braking. VA remarks "the ride, handling and performance is a lot better than my last car, a 1986 Nissan Pulsar." Overall Rating:
