Newark, DE 1999 Audi A4 8,000 mi V-4, 1.8 liter Turbo

The Audi received the highest scores in nearly every category. DE gave a "neutral" mark for electrical and braking. No specific problems were mentioned so we cannot tell why she marked his Audi down for electrical. The Audi's braking abilities do not seem to match the other performance attributes. DE gave the Audi excellent marks for handling and acceleration. Hill climbing and passing received top marks thanks to the turbo. Handling also received the best marks. The Audi is also quiet and wind and road noise is dampened. DE gave excellent marks for the tiptronic transmission as well. Even after 8,000 miles the Audi has been trouble-free. Encouraging news, although we hope DE checks back so that we can track its dependability. Overall, very good scores for an enjoyable sedan to own.

The Audi A4 has been popular due to its relatively inexpensive price, all-wheel drive option and attractive exterior. PA "loves" his new A4. He has already put 8,200 miles on his vehicle and notes that he is "very pleased." He gave his Audi excellent marks for handling. The vehicle shifts smoothly. With the V6, PA gave his Audi top marks for acceleration. Brakes received good, but not the best marks. PA's only criticism is with the Audi's size. It is a small car and PA says rear seat space is minimal. In addition the rear seats are not that comfortable. PA notes they are as hard as benches. In 8,200 miles PA has had only one other problem. The radio changes stations unexpectedly. These small problems have not discouraged PA and he still recommends his Audi.

"I am in love with this car, but the rear seat space is minimal and rear seats are almost like benches...not very comfortable. Other than a small problem with the radio changing stations on me when I turn it on, I've been very pleased. I'm sure they'll fix this problem when I take it in for service."
