Ford is gradually phasing the Escort out in favor of the new Focus. The Focus is a nice car but the Escort is now an excellent value. DL gave his Escort generally excellent marks in the survey. The Escort is easy to park and handles well in the city. Highway handling, owever, is not that great. Acceleration received good scores, but not the best scores, for hill climbing and passing. The interior is comfortable, good comfortable seats and the air and heater work flawlessly. The interior and exterior are holding up well. Strong scores for a great subcompact sedan. Overall Rating:
