Everyone is probably familiar with the controversy surrounding this behemouth. So what is it like to drive one. FL says his Excursion is "overall, very nice." FL gave good marks for handling. Expectedly, he did gave a "neutral" rating for ease of parking. Acceleration is good but not great. The big 5.4 - Liter V8 (there is a V10 option) strains on hills. Gas mileage is an obvious concern and FL says he is impressed by14 mpg to 15 mpg. FL's Excursion did come with several defects. For instance, it had bad tires and rims on delivery which took the dealer 4 months to replace. There is already a crack in the paint inside the driver's side door. FL indicates that he would not buy this Excursion. However, he still recommends the vehicle and thinks it is a good value.
