"BH has had her share of trouble with her Mazda. Those problems seem to have overwhelmed her opinion on this car. She identified several repairs needed in the first 40,000 miles and frankly, the problems were serious. She has replaced a bad engine seal, the transmission and transmission pump and the catalytic converter. She has also had a bad lifter. In the survey, BH gave poor scores in most categories as well. Handling and engine power received fair scores in all categories. Braking and transmission were given poor marks. BH did give good scores in several categories, such as interior and exterior wear and tear and other interior features, such as gauges and comfort control. Overall, BH's Mazda scored poorly.

Owner's Comments:

"This car has been a solid vehicle. I read another review on a 4 cyl model and obviously this person has has lots of trouble which is really unusual for the 626. They're known as a very dependable vehicle and good value.I'll be getting a new ES in 7 months and at $24500 fully loaded its a real bargain in my mind."
