Suburban has been re-styled for 2000. The 2000 Suburban has a new chassis so its ride and handling might be improved. Yet, it really seems to have the same timeless design. UC gave his Suburban strong marks generally. In other categories, however, UC's Suburban received below-average marks. UC sums it up best: "[t]ypically what your expect from Chevy...Exceptional in some areas disappointing in others." The Suburban has never been regarded as a low maintenance vehicle. UC says the "brakes are the worse I have every seen." UC mentions his frustration with the dealer and says it was "no help even though the serious [brake] problem was widespread. The survey reveals the Suburban's size is its strongest attribute. Handling and acceleration are fair. Interior wear has been good, but exterior wear has been decidedly poor. Overall, UC recommends the Suburban in spite of some problems. Overall Rating:

Owner's Comments: "[I] really enjoy the truck, roomy for two big kids, not bad in the city, really enjoyable on long trips, can accommodate almost any size cargo, great camping vehicle."
