 1999 Toyota Tacoma

12,000 Green

4 cyl, 2WD, 5sp, air, ps cruise, tilt, extended cab

Toyota Tacoma competes in a tough market. Toyota's reputation for dependability and the Tacoma's good looks sell a lot of trucks. Its stiffest competition is probably the Dodge Dakota, which can be fitted in a wide array of configurations. JP gave his Toyota excellent scores showing he is pleased with his truck. He comments that his really only complaint is that his truck could use about ten more horsepower. Perhaps, the V6 is the better buy, it it is within budget. Otherwise, the Tacoma got excellent marks. JP noted that the truck is "tight and handles well." Overall, an excellent truck.

"I am pleased with the truck. It is very well built and drives well. I would like to see more power offered in the future (possible small V8)."
