The new V-8 powered Tundra is designed specifically to compete with the American workhorses from Dodge, Ford and GM. Big trucks are popular because they are versatile and rugged. How does the Tundra compare? EC of Oregon has a new 2000 with
the V-8 (it is optional). He has only put 1,200 miles so far but he is clearly pleased. He gave his Tundra a nearly perfect score. The only categories in which EC did not give top marks was for braking and parking.
Yet, for both categories, he still gave his Tundra next to the highest rating. Good scores for a popular vehicle.
