The Trooper is know for effecient interior space and a solid four-wheel drive system which performs well off-road. It is also known, according to Consumer Reports, for a propensity to roll. KO's Trooper seems to have been the year and model Consumer Reports identified as possibly tipsy. There is nothing in KO's survey responses as alarming as Consumer Reports' test results. However, he did not rate his Trooper's handling well. Highway handling was a "neutral" rating. Cornering received next to the lowest score. City handling, however, was acceptable. In fact, the only other category which received less than par scores was power. KO does not have sufficient power for acceleration, passing or hill climbing. In all other categories, KO gave strong scores. He is pleased with his Trooper's size. Brakes are excellent. His interior and exterior is wearing very well. Ride is good and air and heater work well. Overall, KO's review identifies the Isuzu's strong and weak points. If you can get past the poor handling and acceleration, major stumbling blocks, this might be a good four-wheel drive vehicle.
