The Kia Sportage is a compact vehicle with the advantage of 4-wheel drive. The vehicle was also competitively priced. However, according to DT she has had a lot of problems with her vehicle which a potential buyer should be aware of. DT notes that she has had the vehicle in the shop at least 7 times in the last 7 months. She has had problems with the ABS brakes and body. The vehicle is loud with wind noise and engine noise. In fact, DT remarks, almost hopelessly, that she is "very unhappy with this vehicle." In almost every category, the vehicle scored poorly receiving the lowest, or next to the lowest scores. DT did give her Sportage "average" scores in several categories, such as seat comfort and transmission, but those are really not decision making qualities of a vehicle. Owner's Comments: "The airbag that the Sportage is supposed to have did not work during a front end collision." Trouble Free: "No. I've had to take the Sportage to the shop twice for repair on the engine." Survey Results:

Owner's Comments: "The thermostat housing went bad and left me stranded by I called the 1-800-Kia number and they had someone there in 20 minutes to pick me and the car up. I was extremely pleased with Kia's customer support center. I have had to take my Kia in for two recalls but I was notified by Kia and had the problem taken care of promptly." Survey Results:
