"My
wife and I both drive Mercedes Benz automobiles since my dad
fell in love with the cars years ago. Not being wealthy by any
means, we have always contented ourselves with pre-owned cars.
My wife currently drives a 1975 300D five cyl w/power windows,locks,
cruise, and cd player...it has 155000 miles on it and shifts
like a brand new car (auto). Because of the smaller body style,
the engine is adequate for the car. My car, the 83 300sd is
somewhat larger, however with the turbodiesel, it runs like a
champ. This is the fifth Mercedes Benz I have owned and there
is nothing like them anywhere."
Trouble free
= no
Repairs = "I have never owned a "trouble free"
car in the 45 or so cars that I have owned. However, the Mercedes
Benzs' have never left me stranded by the roadside, and although
there are some heafty maintenance bills from time to time; dollar
per dollar, mile for mile, they are the best VALUE I have ever
experienced. I can't say enough good things about the dealers
and Mercedes Benz. (Besides, I'm a big fat guy and those boys
in Japan weren't thinking of me when they built my brothers "Honda
Prelude"...which is a nice car by the way."
