"I
purchased my Acclaim used one year ago. I have been unhappy with
many things about this car. The dealer was not a Plymouth dealer
and I don't know if this would have made any difference in my
satisfaction. First,a belt was making a slight squealing sound
when I purchased the car. The dealer said the belat just neede
to be tightened. I ended up spending over $100.00 replacing the
belt tensioner. I have had electrical problems with this vehicle
and still have not solved the problem. The car just won't start
sometimes, but if you keep turning the key it will eventually
start-up. The engine on this particular vehicle sounds a little
too much like a diesel, despite the fact that it is not a diesel.
The car dies sometimes upon acceleration. If anyone out there
has had similar experiences with an Acclaim, and if you have
a solution I would like to hear from you. Thanks "
